1 - God does provide for his children. [Our rent was paid this month and we received enough money to fix our car!]
2 - We only truly learn to depend solely on God when we are placed in circumstances that the only option is to depend on God. [And I can say I am happy that God has me in these circumstances right now, because it's a great place to be...in his hands!]
3 - Pride is a major issue in my life. Pride hides in many areas of our lives, we just don't realize its there.
4 - I truly have some great friends (and family).
5 - God is even more amazing then we can imagine. And he loves to exceed our expectations!
That's all I got for today. It's taken me six long weeks to learn these five lessons. They may not seem profound to you...but it's completely changed my way of thinking and has strengthened my faith.
Psalm 119: 129-135:
Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the
simple.
I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands.
Turn to me and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your
name.
Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Redeem me from the oppression of men, that I may obey your precepts.
Make your face shine upon your servant and teach me your decrees.
